Sexto Grado, como parte de la Cuarta Unidad de Indagación, con el tema Transdisciplinario “Cómo nos expresamos” y la idea central “El planteamiento de preguntas y el  pensamiento creativo nos ayudan a entender problemas y a tomar decisiones”, trabajaron “El artículo de opinión”, como una forma de expresión escrita, mediante la cual expresan su opinión acerca de un tema, tras ser interpretado y analizado. 

Agencia

Los estudiantes investigaron sobre problemáticas relacionadas a fuentes confiables que brindan información. En base a esto, surgieron interrogantes sobre las redes sociales: ¿Las redes sociales son medios de comunicación? ¿Las redes sociales brindan información confiable?

Realizaron una indagación sobre las redes sociales como medios de comunicación; como resultado, escribieron un artículo de opinión. 

Acción

Los y las estudiantes lograron dar a conocer sus propios puntos de vista y percepciones acerca de las redes sociales y comprendieron a tener un uso adecuado de las redes sociales cuando se trata de obtener información verídica y confiable, permitiendo ser más íntegros académicamente.

Reflexión

Gracias a esta experiencia de aprendizaje los y las estudiantes han demostrado la práctica de los atributos del IB, como ser indagadores, al investigar más sobre las redes sociales y de mentalidad abierta, al conocer las percepciones y puntos de vista de sus compañeros acera de medios y fuentes de información confiable. De la misma manera desarrollaron actitudes como el respeto, responsabilidad, compromiso, creatividad y empatía.

SIXTH GRADE OPINION ARTICLES

Our Sixth Grade students, as part of the Fourth Unit of Inquiry, under the Transdisciplinary theme “How we express ourselves” and the central idea “Posing questions and creative thinking help us understand problems and make decisions,” worked on “opinion articles,” as a form of written expression, through which they express their opinion about a topic, after interpretation and analysis.

Agency

The students investigated problems related to the trustworthiness of sources that provide information. Based on this, questions arose about social networks: Are social networks means of communication? Do social networks provide reliable information? They conducted an inquiry about social networks as means of communication, and as a result, they wrote an opinion piece.

Action

The students presented their own views and perceptions about social networks and demonstrated their understanding of how to properly use social networks when it comes to obtaining trustworthy and reliable information, allowing them to maintain academic integrity.t.

Reflection

Thanks to this learning experience, students have demonstrated the practice of IB attributes, such as being inquirers, by investigating more about social media, and open-mindedness, by learning the perceptions and points of view of their peers about media and sources of reliable information. In addition, they developed attitudes such as respect, responsibility, commitment, creativity and empathy.
