Además, ha realizado el mantenimiento de “Tierra de Niños”, un huerto en la escuela donde los y las estudiantes aprenden sobre nuestra biodiversidad y realizan proyectos de medio ambiente en los diferentes cursos. Ahora crecen aquí nuevos cultivos, como papas, choclos y habas, que luego serán investigados a lo largo de las áreas educativas.

Asimismo, este año, el anfiteatro contará con un sector especialmente dedicado al cuidado de hierbas medicinales, como la hierba buena, la menta, la manzanilla y la muña.

More than 2000 plants such as ivy, fuchsia, thoughts and daisies beautify the Andino School campus. This year, Landscape Gardener, Julio Villalba, has planted beautiful ferns that will warm our halls. He will also continue to care for our queuña trees, a native species of our area.

In addition, Julio has worked hard to ready the “Tierra de niños” school community garden for the new school year where students learn about our biodiversity and carry out environmental. New crops, including potatoes, corn and beans, are now growing here to serve as research materials in a variety of areas.

This year we have added a medicinal garden to our amphitheater area which will include chamomile, spearmint as well as other native mint varieties.
