En una actividad transdisciplinaria de Matemática e Inglés, nuestros estudiantes de Cuarto Grado indagaron en inglés sobre los riesgos y desafíos en la niñez; asimismo, indagaron a profundidad sobre la discriminación, y, por último, elaboraron encuestas y las aplicaron a diversos salones de la comunidad Andino School.

Junto con el curso de Matemática, tuvieron la oportunidad de consolidar su aprendizaje a través de la comprensión del rol de la Estadística en la sociedad, la comprensión del proceso de generación de conclusiones, la tabulación de sus encuestas, generación de gráficos de barras.

Una de las conclusiones de la experiencia de aprendizaje de Cuarto Grado fue la siguiente:

Frente a un alto número de encuestados que tuvieron una experiencia de discriminación, plantearon que aún tienen mucho trabajo que realizar para lograr una convivencia respetuosa

En Andino, el Programa de la Escuela Primaria busca el protagonismo del estudiante frente a su propio aprendizaje a través del estudio de situaciones del mundo real, en las que pueden construir y elaborar conceptos.

In a transdisciplinary activity of Mathematics and English, our Fourth Grade students inquired in English about the risks and challenges in childhood. Likewise, they investigated discrimination in-depth, and, finally, they prepared surveys and applied them to various classrooms of the Andino School community.

Along with the Mathematics course, they had the opportunity to consolidate their learning by understanding the role of Statistics in society, understanding the process of generating conclusions, tabulating their surveys, and generating bar graphs.

One of the conclusions of the Fourth-Grade learning experience was the following:

At Andino, the Primary Years programme seeks the student’s role in their own learning through the study of real-world situations, in which they can build and elaborate concepts.
